It's amazing to me that only a year has gone by between this
and this


Jack is such a big kid now. The babiness is totally gone. Hes a walking talking comprehending little person and I love it. So many people ask me if I miss his babiness and sure I do sometimes, the snuggles, the cooing and the firsts: smiles, laughs, crawls, steps. But I love who he has become and who he is going to continue to be in the years to come.

He has friends now, not just kids of people Chris and I are friends with, but genuine friends who he asks about and lights up when he sees, especially Stella, who we can't help but call his girlfriend


And his cousin Lilly who he only gets to see every few months but he loves and asks about all the time

There's Lucy, his friend from school who we have playdates with at least once a week

There's also Tai who had to move away and won't be at school when they start back next week.


and Dylan, his only male friends because, well, Jack loves the ladies most of all...

There's so much to look forward to this year, starting with Jack's 3rd birthday which looks like it will be a week-long celebration and I promise, yes I PROMISE I will post pictures soon!

This week is called Spirit Week at Jack's school. Every day has a different theme leading up to the big Halloween celebration.
Yesterday was Pajama Day.

We had such a great time with family and friends last week on our trip to NJ and NYC.

We went to the playground with Morgan.

Jack stil is obsessed with the bird show at Jungle Island. We don't go quite as often now that it is summer and very hot but we still usually go once a week.

We like to sit out on the terrace and I blow bubbles and Jack and Chewy chase them around. Jack loves Chewy as much as he loves Chris or me.

Jack has gotten a large supply of tattoos thanks to a friend of mine who makes them with all of his favorite characters. He loves to show them off

I'm trying to figure out how to put a video from my phone on here but in the meantime, Jack would like to show off his latest look. He looks like some sort of creature from an old SciFi movie.

school prep

In preparation for pre-school we had to bring Jack in for a few immunizations that we had skipped over the last 2 years so we decided to get his 30 month checkup at the same time. Next month we will celebrate Jack's half-birthday and in a few months he will start school. Our little baby is growing up.





Jack is so excited to go to school. When we went on the tour he saw all the kids and started waving at them through a glass door saying "HI KIds!"
When we went through the classrooms he wanted to play with all the toys, color with the crayons, sit in the chairs, he couldn't get enough of it. I know he doesn't fully know what it means to go to school but he is very excited and I know he wants to learn so much. He already knows his letters, numbers, colors and

haircuts!

I promise to post more tomorrow, including pictures from Jack's 30-month checkup where he did amazingly well despite getting 3 shots and I have a picture that I need to match up with another picture that just might totally blow your mind. He's getting so big, my little baby boy is a real live kid.

Well, first I wasn't posting due to lack of motivation and then I stopped posting because the power cord on my computer stopped working and I caouldn't upload pictures on here from my phone or ipad so....I know nobody is looking at this to hear the amusing things I have to say, they're here to see this:





The first picture by the way was the other morning when Jack and I were on our way to see a preschool. I can't believe it but we are most likely enrolling him in part-time preschool starting the end of August. Where did my little tiny baby go???
