This weekend when we were in NY and NJ having a great time, Chewy's hematoma came back. We finally brought him to another vet and he said that it was best to do surgery on the ear. For now, it's all bandaged up so we can't see the extent of the damage but tomorrow they are removing the bandage and I will be more than happy to share the gruesomeness once it's out in the open. Because the doctor said it will not be pretty for a while. They want to see it once a week and then in a month (yes, another month) he should be cone-free for good. I hope. He hopes. We all hope.

Poor Chewy!!!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry. You do not deserve this, Chewy. You are such a good dog and I know the cone around your neck is not your favorite thing to wear. I hope June passes quickly and you can go and exercise again.
