For the first time in about a month (or is it longer?? I lost all track of time...) I put Jack down at his usual time (7-7:30) and he got up at 10:30 and then slept from 11 PM until 5 AM! And then he ate and slept again until 7! Yay!

We are hoping this is the beginning of a new phase and not a one-time thing because I will cry if he is up every couple of hours again tonight. I actually feel almost rested today!

On top of the great night's sleep, he took 3 (THREE!) naps today. Not long ones but longer than the usual 5 minutes and 2 were in the crib so I feel like we may be turning a corner here.

I wear him in the sling until he falls asleep. He stays asleep for at least 10 minutes. I put him in the crib and he's sound asleep. Turn on the monitor, dream of perhaps taking a nap myself.

This morning I took a nap in my crib!

I was very proud of myself when I woke up.


Then I went to Target with Mommy and she bought me my first monkey. I was too sleepy to know it at the time but I'm sure we will be the best of friends.

We are having some sleeping issues over here and after waking to eat every 2 hours last night, Jack has decided that he will now only sleep while being held. Needless to say it has been a long day after a long night for Jack's mama so I leave you with just a photo of Jack and his papa from yesterday. In between screams he really is adorable.
And his daddy's not too bad either.

home at last

I don't know how long I am going to have to type and download right now so let's get straight to the pictures. I will say that Jack is the sweetest, most behaved baby on the planet. He went right back down to sleep after every feeding last night and ate like a prizefighter every time. He is obviously in training for something very important.

I am so in love, I can hardly stand it. I can just sit and stare at him forever and if I wasn't so sleep deprived I would probably never take my eyes off of him.

We go to the pediatrician in the morning to get his weight and things checked out so I will update about that tomorrow. Also, I'm sure, a million more pictures.

Speaking of, here is our coming home from the hospital yesterday. He loves the car and just layed there alert the whole (10 minute) ride home:
